DV DIVING offer this program every week in Ards Leisure Centre on a Wednesday evening at 8pm. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you'll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realise how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge for DV DIVING is coaxing Discover Scuba Diving participants out of the water when the program is over. The fun part? It's all fun!

All the scuba equipment you will need is included in the Discover Scuba Diving experience. You'll use all the basic diving gear including a mask and snorkel, fins, a buoyancy compensating jacket (BCD) that carries your weights and scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply. All you need is your swimwear and we can bring a short wetsuit for you to wear if requested.
